The Government has announced that it will extend the $150,000 instant asset write-off for six months to 31 December 2020.
Have you heard the news? The Government has announced it will be extending the instant asset write off for 6 months! Not only has the instant asset write-off cap been increased to $150k*, you now also have until the end of the year to purchase your asset. Under the proposal, the asset must be both acquired and installed ready for use by 31 December 2020, instead of 30 June 2020.
It’s a great time to reinvest in your assets, they can be new or second hand. By reinvesting in your operations and replacing or upgrading your equipment before December 31st 2020, you can claim an immediate deduction for each asset that costs less than the threshold.
